We run a limited number of Fall turkey hunts, here on our private hunting land in Columbia County, NY. Usually after a good spring, early summer hatch, the flocks or groups of birds are then located prior to the hunt. Feeding areas are great locations for birds to be hunted. We also hunt roost sites and whenever possible we attempt to break up the flock and call the birds back in. This method is a highly productive tactic for hunting fall turkeys. Toms or hens may be harvested on this hunt. One bird may be taken on this hunt. Hunting hours are from dawn until dusk.
Gun Recommendation: 12 gauge shot gun, #6, 5 shot . Chamber 3" or more with a full choke or better patterned out to 40 yards or more.
Clothing: Full Camouflage with head net.
